About Me

"Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul be just another human soul." — Carl Jung

My journey

I have always been drawn to observing, listening to, and helping people. When I discovered psychology in middle school, I knew it was something I wanted to explore. Reading books and learning about thoughts, emotions, and the human mind opened a world that felt both fascinating and meaningful. (My qualifications are listed below.)

Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, parents, and expats, across settings such as rehabilitation centres, hospitals, and special education schools. I began my private practice in India as a Clinical Psychologist & Special Education Teacher in 2020.

I relocated to Germany in 2025 and am now registered as a Psychological Counsellor. Over the past nine years, every client I have worked with has reinforced my belief that humans have an innate capacity to heal and to lead fulfilling, meaningful lives.

 Work Philosophy

My work is grounded in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. It is a transformative, evidence-based therapy for understanding our emotions, healing and promoting well-being.

I believe we do not need to fit ourselves into boxes or labels that define what is wrong or needs fixing. Every part of us has meaning. Often, we feel stuck not because we are broken, but because of the burdens we carry - shaped by upbringing, society, past experiences, and trauma. As a trauma-informed counsellor, I welcome every part of you into the counselling space.

Along with IFS, I integrate breathwork & somatic techniques to help you develop a deeper understanding of your emotions and thoughts. By slowing down, connecting with emotions, and listening to the body’s wisdom, we can access and work with the layers beneath conscious thought. In our time together, I walk alongside you with full presence and attunement.

With Parents or Pregnant Couples, I use the Internal Family Systems lens to help you see the parts of you that show up when parenting gets hard. When you relate to yourself differently, your interactions with your child become calmer and more connected. I also use Positive Parenting tools to navigate behaviours in a developmentally-appropriate manner.

I see myself not as an expert on your life, but as a guide and facilitator in this process. The true expert is you!

Nothing inside you is wrong—some parts have simply been carrying too much for too long.

Beyond work

Apart from my professional work, I cherish my roles as a wife and “mamma” to my preschooler. I am also a trained Indian classical dancer and have travelled the globe showcasing our cultural heritage. In my free time, I enjoy reading on my Kindle, crafting with my child, or watching a light-hearted show on Netflix with my partner.

I also began my content creation journey in 2022, after the birth of my child. Through my Instagram page, @your.thought.therapist, I share insights on Maternal Mental Health and Parenting. This journey has helped me build a beautiful community of parents who are invested in more conscious living and intentional parenting

I also engage in regular personal therapy and supervision, which I see as an essential part of ethical and effective practice. The ongoing inner work, I feel, helps me remain grounded and fully present with my clients.
